Alpine 9887 Install

So a friend of mine decided to upgrade his speakers and put in some shitty kenwood hu and shitty kenwood speakers and massive tonal difference and NO SUB.

It sounded like something a deaf person would get done to their car.

In any case i forced upon him a Alpine 9887... very nice... and a used basslink sub.

The install was perfect and it was done to its completion mostly because i did it.

I also found one of the tweeters was out of phase so i ripped the tweeter out and fixed it.. here are some pics.

Partially Installed.

So bennitto had the HU partially installed... he said no bass. So i Xover the HU and re-tuned the SUB so the bass is sweet... jeez i wish i had that kinda bass... bah.

Also note when the thieves stole his previous stereo they stole the standalone LCD screen and now its empty there... he would have put the OEM pocket but its been trashed.

Oh well.

Day 6-8 - 2009 02 26-28

So this stupid son of a bitch called my bluff and did not solder the harness till about 7.30 which was off time, i mean it worked in my favour as i was not 100% prepared to let him eat my ass with whatever sauce he wanted (yes he asked)... but he did put extra effort and did it after work.. i was shocked...

Later confirmation that it worked but still isn't installed.

Saturday came, and we were predicting a sound session in a parking lot of some grocery store but i did not hear from which worked out ok cuz its cold here.

So i hear that Bennitto had a sever headache. Below is an artists rendition of what it may have looked like to people around him:



He took 5 + advils to suppress it but i think it was a deep rooted fear of something happening or rather not happening e.g

So anyway after the advil thing the stereo is still not in but atleast the harness is in...

1 week for the harness to be done right.. i suppose it could be worse.
